About the Author: Giuseppe Agostino Orsi (1692-1761) became the top theologian of the Catholic church and a writer of numerous scholarly books. This is his sixth book of eleven and the first of two on baptism. This Latin book was found by Pastor D. S. Garza of Madera, California. It is of great interest for it reveals the debate among Catholic scholars through the centuries about baptism in the name of Jesus.
